LABSIMQ
LABoratory for Supporting Innovative experimentation in Methodologies (both Quantitative and Qualitative) for the socio-economic and territorial analysis
The LABoratory was established in Ires about ten years ago. Its mission is to promote a favourable environment for transforming scientific thinking into practical actions for regional policies.
To this end, it provides a workspace for:
- developing ICT-based methodologies based on complexity science;
- being home of inter-disciplinary researches, especially for those scientists willing to explore original approaches at the cross border of different scientific domains;
- improving the communication between research and governmental oriented activities.
Current LabSIMQ activities include:
- the creation of indicators, to support IRES core studies and monitor the evolution trends of the regional economy also on a comparative basis;
- the implementation of ICT-based approaches to address regional policy needs;
- the dissemination of the application of complexity science concepts in regional policies.
LabSIMQ, is a member of the S4 Network of Excellence (http://s4.parisgeo.cnrs.fr/). It is currently involved in the European Project ASSYST(Action for the Science of complex SYstem and Socially intelligent icT). (http://assystcomplexity.eu/).
